I have just recently begun to write seriously and will be posting my work as it gets published so please check back. Most of my writing time will be devoted to a children's novel and I plan to have it completed by the spring of 2012. This book will be the first book in a trilogy and I am very excited about the future potential of the series! I am working on a zombie movie script that allows me to try out another writing format and enjoy the straightforwardness of that writing formula.
I have also posted below one story that is on AurthorStand as well as some other bits and pieces of my writing.
"The Shortcut" Short horror story on AuthorStand
-This is from one of my short stories that inspired the zombie movie script I am working on.
"Sarah lets out a muffled scream through her hand and scrambles toward him. “NO, what are you doing!?...Please don’t leave me alone.” She kneels down and grabs his hand, feeling for any flicker of life but finding none. She lays his bloody hand down and slowly stands back up, searching her head for what to do next. What could possibly be happening out there…had the entire world finally gone mad with asperity and war?"
-Excerpt from "Highland Heir" Possible Romance Novel
"Anna slumps onto her small bed and stares up at the ceiling, the peeling white paint making her groan with misery and anger.
“How the hell am I going to fix this house now?” She mutters, her bitter divorce still fresh on her mind.
It has been four long months since Daniel, her husband of ten years, decided to fuck his twenty something assistant and destroy the only happiness Anna had ever felt, leaving her with a broken heart and an excessive mortgage on an inferior house.
Her mind drifts back to the last time she felt truly happy, nestled in Daniel’s arm and listening to him breathe. She suddenly wonders how that could have possibly been over eight months ago and she rubs her arms, trying desperately to dispel the unexpected chill surrounding her.
The heavy rain pelts against the bedroom window and Anna curses as drops of water bead up on the windowsill and start to drip onto the wood floor in front of it.
“Great, just what I need…more drama.”
She slides her petite frame off the bed and stomps to the bathroom, angrily grabbing a hand full of towels and returning to the leaking window, throwing them down to soak up the growing puddle of water.
“I can’t believe I got stuck with this shit hole house while that bastard lives it up on the French Riviera with that bitch!” Anna seethes, raising a delicate hand up to brush a strand of auburn hair from her cheek."
